Oppo hints at the release of its foldable Find N3 just hours before Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event.

Just hours before the much-awaited Galaxy Unpacked event by tech giant Samsung on Wednesday, Oppo, a Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, gave a sneak peek of its upcoming Oppo Find N3.

The company’s official Twitter account posted a brief video clip that displayed the letter ‘Z’ transforming into an ‘N’ in a rose-gold hue. The caption teased, “Keep watching for more updates.”

Expected Specs

There is a lot of buzz on social media about the upcoming Oppo foldable phone. Rumors suggest that it will feature an 8-inch QHD+ OLED flexible screen on the inside and a 6.5-inch full-HD display on the outside. The phone is expected to have a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Additionally, the Flip N3 will come with a storage option of 16GB (RAM) + 512GB (inbuilt).


The phone is rumored to feature a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP periscope lens. For selfies, it is expected to have dual 32MP sensors. Additionally, the phone may come with a 4,800mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.

Released in December 2022, Find N2, the predecessor of Find N3, features a 7.6-inch primary WUSXGA AMOLED main display and a 5.54-inch full-HD+ AMOLED cover screen. Powered by a 4,520mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC 2.0 support, the phone is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The foldable flip phone is anticipated to be released in specific international markets. Nevertheless, the exact date of its launch remains unknown. Speculations suggest that it will be launched in August.

Before Samsung unveiled its premium foldable devices – Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 – in Seoul, the company had already given a sneak peek of its upcoming home.

OnePlus is reportedly gearing up to release its inaugural foldable smartphone, Open, on August 29.

At present, there are several brands that offer foldable smartphones in the market. These include Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, Motorola Razr 40, OPPO Find N2 Flip, Tecno Phantom V Fold, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.

TechARC, a market research firm, predicts that the foldable form factor will surpass one million annual sales in 2025. Furthermore, this number is projected to double within the next three years, reaching a staggering milestone by 2028.

The Dimensity 9300 is expected to power Oppo’s upcoming Find X-series smartphone

The Dimensity 9300 chipset from MediaTek has been revealed as their latest flagship offering. The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, set to debut on November 13th, will be the first smartphones to showcase this new chip. Oppo has also announced that their upcoming Find-series phone will feature the Dimensity 9300, with the Find X7 expected to launch in Q1 2024 and be equipped with this cutting-edge chipset.

The Find X7 series is set to replace the Find X6 and Find X6 Pro models. The Find X6 was powered by the Dimensity 9200 chipset, while the Find X6 Pro featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. According to reports, the upcoming X7 lineup will consist of two models: the Find X7 and Find X7 Pro.

The Geekbench benchmarking platform recently detected an unannounced Oppo phone, identified by the model number PHZ110. According to the listing, this device boasts impressive specifications including the Dimensity 9300 chip, 16 GB of RAM, and the latest Android 14 operating system. In terms of performance, it achieved a single-core score of 2139 and a multi-core score of 7110 on Geekbench 6. There are speculations that this phone, known as the PHZ110, will be released as the Oppo Find X7.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is anticipated to be included in the Find X7 Pro. According to a recent report, the Pro variant will come with a 1-inch LYT-900 camera sensor, which will also be present in the upcoming Vivo X100 Pro+ and Xiaomi 14 Ultra premium flagship smartphones set to release in the following year.

In August, a report stated that the Find X7 Pro would address the limitations of its predecessor, the Find X6 Pro. It is rumored to have several improvements, including an upgraded design. The X7 Pro is expected to boast a 2K-resolution display, a 32-megapixel front camera, and a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel (LYT-900) main camera, a 50-megapixel (LYT-700 ultra-wide) camera, and another 50-megapixel (LYT-700) periscope telephoto camera. Additionally, it may offer 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 1 T of UFS 4.0 storage, and a large battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
